This readme describes the prototype of a "junior developer" agent called "smol dev" that can scaffold an entire codebase once given a product specification. It focuses on human-centric and coherent whole program synthesis and uses AI that is helpful, harmless, and honest to generate code. The codebase is simple, safe, and short (less than 200 lines of Python and prompts) to understand and customize.
